Paris Hilton unveiled her new clothing line yesterday at Kitson boutique in L.A. Eager fans crowded the street outside the boutique which is known for its celebrity clientel and large selection of brand name apparel.
Paris arrived at the store in a glitzy gold sequined mini dress to introduce her new line to the frenzied pack of fans and fashionistas who couldn’t wait to get a glimpse of the hotel heiress. The police evenutally decided to close a lane of traffic in order to handle the crowd.
In an interview with the AP, Paris said of her clothes: “It’s just Paris style: fun, bright and flashy.”
Paris is just the latest celebrity to hop on the fashion design bandwagon that includes style icon, Kate Moss, who designed an affordable line for British retailer, Top Shop, and the queen of posh herself, Victoria Beckham, whose line can also be found at Kitson.
The clothes are very Paris Hilton – literally. The line includes several self-promoting t-shirts emblazoned with Paris’ own image, and they do reflect her quirky and youthful style.
Paris Hilton fans will also be happy to know that the pieces are incredibly affordable – I was pleasently surprised. The pieces range from $34 for a graphic tee to $128 for the little sequin number that Paris wore to the launch.
My picks from the collection:
From top left: Grey Tabloid Blonde Tee, $34; Heiress Skinny leg Dark Denim, $78; Tabloid Blondes Tee, $34; Light Blue Retro Wide Leg Denim, $88; Black Sequin Dress, $128; Pink Paris Tee, $34 – all items available at Kitson’s online boutique: shopkitson.com.
