If you are eagerly awaiting the Sex and the City movie and can’t wait to see what the girls will be wearing, join the club! Ever since Carrie Bradshaw began prancing around Manhattan in her Manolos, the ficitional character has achieved the status of style icon, right alongside other stylish mavens like Audrey Hepburn and Jackie O. As such, you can guarantee that her wedding ensemble will become one of the great fashion moments this year.

While not everyone can pull off Carrie’s eclectic and original style, there is something to be said for her daring and inventive outfits. Carrie’s wedding dress is no exception to her style mantra: always be fashion forward no matter what the situation. Not everyone understands this - which is why there has been an outcry in internet circles over the dress. Most have deemed it ugly and weird.
Along with the obvious plot spoiler evidenced by the picture, there are rampant rumours that Mr. Big will be leaving Carrie at the altar. I guess fans will have to wait til next year to see if their favorite couple can pull it together.
I for one, admire Carrie’s devotion to her own sense of style. Tell me what you think - would you wear it??

The dress is amazing and very Carrie! I would wear it, but not sure about the hair piece.
I am not sure it is my style at all. But I always pictured Carrie in a slinky dress or a short 1950’s style dress. Can’t wait to see the movie!
I think the dress is stunning and I should know I am a fashion major. But the head piece with the feather is just hideous and she shouldn’t have paired the gown with that thing.
I love the dress and LOVE the head piece! Totally couture! The entire look is very high-end and definitely not for everyone.
Love it!!!!!
Perhaps… but honestly the pompous dress with the exxagerated ‘bossom’ is a bit too much for a woman her age. I find the headpiece very Carrie, fitting… but indeed a slinky number would have been fest fitted for Carrie… one would hope her sense of style matured wth her.
